WHO WE ARE:

Assabet Valley Camera Club (AVCC) was established in 1985 as a Hudson-based photography organization.

AVCC is a member of both the New England Camera Club Council and the Photographic Society of America, and also participates in interclub competitions on regional, national and international levels.

Members of various ages with a diversity of experience currently hail from over fifteen different communities in the surrounding area.

AVCC welcomes anyone interested in learning more about photography as a visual art and its practical application as a science.

Members benefit from the hands-on experiences, from the knowledge presented in programs, and from having their work critiqued.

MEETINGS:

AVCC meets the 1st. and 3rd. Wednesday of the month from September through May.  Meetings officially begin at 7:15 PM.

Generally, AVCC meetings are hybrid, and take place both on Zoom and in person in the Basement Meeting Room at the Hudson Senior Center, 29 Church Street, Hudson.

The first meeting of the month normally features a program designed to instruct and/or to entertain camera enthusiasts.

The second monthly meeting is a competition of members’ digital images, where the images are displayed then scored and critiqued by qualified judges.

The club’s Zoom room opens at 7:00 PM with a brief business meeting at 7:15.

***Note: in the event of inclement weather or COVID restrictions at the Senior Center, or the Hudson Public Schools are closed, the meetings will be held via Zoom only.***
